Membership Charges

The scale of charges for annual partnership membership, developing new partnerships and SBA re-accreditation is set out below.

NABCP is the national voice for BCRPs and is the only organisation which is able to speak up for the work of partnerships.

NABCP wants to help to develop the skills, professionalism and value of partnership work and to ensure that BCRPs are able to respond professionally to increasing demands for their participation in local community safety programmes.

This means that NABCP has to charge for its services in order to ensure that it generates income and can continue to deliver high quality services to partnerships. Each partnership costs nearly £9,000 to establish (full cost of time and resources).  We do not seek to recover the full costs of establishing and servicing partnerships, but the board of NABCP has decided that the following charges will apply:

NABCP can only help to establish and accredit partnerships who agree to become members of NABCP.  We are not able to offer our services to establish partnerships for non-members.

ANNUAL PARTNERSHIP MEMBERSHIP OF NABCP IS £490 FOR EXISTING PARTNERSHIPS, WHICH INCLUDES AN INSPECTION VISIT FOR THE SAFER BUSINESS ACCREDITATION EVERY TWO YEARS.

DEVELOPING NEW PARTNERSHIPS

Where NABCP commences to work to help to form or establish a new partnership, the process and charges set out below will apply:

Stage One  NABCP will ascertain by way of telephone and e-mail advice that the new partnership wishes to fully engage in establishing a partnership to the SBA standard. NABCP will tell potential partnerships what they will need to contribute towards the process and to identify the key person/s who will drive it forward. Once the new partnership has agreed to go forward, the key person will set up a meeting with all their key players.

NABCP will attend an initial free visit to make a presentation and fully discuss any issues with key players. They will tell them what the process is, what the costs will be, discuss timescales and set out what the partnership will be expected to do throughout the process. This visit is important as it will be the one at which the partnership will have to make the decision to go to stage two. NABCP and the partnership need to ensure that there is a good prospect for success.

Stage Two If the partnership wishes to move forward they will agree to pay the membership fee before NABCP commences work . All other costs will be met by NABCP. The partnership will then receive assistance to establish the partnership to SBA standard, the initial accreditation visit and one presentation visit. NABCP membership includes our national Partnership Codes of Practice, unlimited phone and e-mail guidance, Safer Business Accreditation certificate, membership of NABCP for one year, discounted access to NABCP PI and other insurances and all other services.

The total cost will be £600. Additional visits will be charged at £95 per day.

RE-INSPECTION EVERY TWO YEARS FOR SAFER BUSINESS ACCREDITATION

The partnership will receive the following:

The cost of re-accreditation is part of the annual membership fee and there is no additional charge for NABCP members. For partnerships whose membership and SBA has lapsed, the cost will be £490 for new membership and accreditation.  A partnership whose membership has lapsed but whose SBA is still current, can re-join for 12 months for £490.

PARTNERSHIP SUPPORT

NABCP and its staff will provide free and unlimited advice, information and help to members on any matter and will seek to provide solutions if the answer is not immediately available.
